Pemayangtse Monastery

This was the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim after Yuksom and till the year 1814 AD State was ruled by the Kings of Sikkim from this place. You may find the ruins lie hidden from the main road at a walking distance from the Pemayangtse Monastery. The panoramic view over the deep valley to the snow cappedKangchendzonga is something to be cherished and imprinted in memory.
